The changing, not "bad" economy is calling all entrepreneurs. Seasoned self starters know this, but those considering testing their own strengths have received a great invitation, whether or not they have opened it yet. The natural course of a human life in a country that allows and even encourages it, is to be independent in thought and action. Many are called but few choose. Choice is the operative word. To jump in and do what you have always thought you could. Once the choice is made for the true entrepreneur there is no looking back. The taste of freedom and life ownership is too sweet to ever taste again for too long the "crow" dished out by conforming to a job. The journey is one of open doors and saying yes, where others continually say no.
The entrepreneur is bold, takes risk in money and self, displays initiative, is creative and moves through obstacles towards a desired goal, never considering turning back no matter the length of the journey. She learns through mistakes never encountered before the journey, but learns even more from successes gained along the way. Failure to realize the vision is not an option. Energy is high and positive adding to the human condition in real value, education and achievement. Until one has tested one's self to the highest degree possible, there is still more to learn and the true entrepreneur knows this. Business is usually associated with the term "Entrepreneur" as its route "enterprising" came before. The dream and vision becomes daily habit by testing ones' ability to make it a reality. The joy is in the journey and rewards are many for those who stay the course and realize a passion expressed. Each success brings higher confidence and self awareness and an addiction to excellence.
One cannot imagine the world without the entrepreneur, the risk taker, the visionary from whom we all benefit. This energy lifts us all because excuses and whines are not in the vocabulary.
In a changing and challenging economy, many will choose this journey; the natural way to access realization. Every challenge is an opportunity. From lemonade stands to innovations that have moved humanity to higher levels of ease, health, comfort, and enlightenment and beyond, we must thank the entrepreneur and if you are one, on any level, thank yourself.

OTHER PEOPLE'S MINDS
We come into life unique with our own mind: clear, fresh, open... and ready to be programmed. If no limitations were placed on a mind after birth, but encouragement, nurturing and a love of learning and method for critical observation for the purpose of knowing as journey, the human race would be fulfilling a purpose. As it is, most minds are programmed with the current belief of the parents, society and systems already in place. The few that choose to journey beyond the prescribed and limiting "knowns" truly lead the way. But few follow.
We are in a very unique and evolved time in human development. We have many answers from the past and knowing the past can lead to a better future. Early philosophers opened their minds and learned some basic truths about human nature and shared and wrote. We have that information. Pioneers in the study of Nature and our relationship to it, paved the road for today's greatest scientists and thinkers. We have information at our fingertips and confirmation on every level that this planet offers everything that we need.
How is it then that so many are still going in the wrong direction? If each individual used the mind as it was meant to be exercised, we as humans would be moving towards the paradise which is already the creation. We, at our best, are the highest form of this creation and we do have the opportunity to realize this as a collective species. Some do realize it. Only by using their own talents and connection with the Source of all is it accomplished. Others may criticize and call it luck or birthright, but no person can achieve this height without their own personal engagement.
Each individual choosing for themselves to connect, attain, be, and attract will realize a paradise within and create a paradise without. It is those who do not rely on their own resources, and contribute, that keep themselves and society as a whole in limitation.
This can be taught only to those ready to learn. Those addicted to other peoples' minds and way of thinking will never break free and will continue to denigrate themselves and society. Even if the powers that be in one's life are extraordinarily oppressive, a mind can be free to be owned by the owner if the owner chooses.
If one chooses to truly observe the magnificence of nature, it becomes obvious that poverty and lack only exist in the mind.

EDUCATION: Purpose and Necessity
The foundation of real education must be love of learning and critical thinking. With these two elements in place, we can stop there. Our educational system has seen to it that these elements are obliterated. Teaching to the test in a square environment, picking and choosing the subjects that may be important for political correctness, has rendered the nation's most recent generations ill equipped to handle an emerging world. There are so many culprits to name in responsibility, but to be useful about the problem is to offer solutions. The first focus must be of course primary education.
Along with love of learning and critical thinking, discipline is necessary. But not imposed discipline, but a self-discipline that can be taught with generosity and gentleness. Every individual has something unique to offer and tends to be better at one thing than another. Early on, if those attributes are brought out and nurtured, a sense of self, and confidence in that self emerges and a foundation built in each individual begins. These are the seeds of a better society being cultivated.
The Basics: reading, writing, math and natural science must be emphasized throughout the first twelve grades. These are the foundations by which the study of history, geography, government, the arts and other subjects pertinent to the changing world of today must be built upon. A curriculum must include these basics along with and expectation of discipline in the classroom.
What is missing in the structured state determined education is a broader classroom. In order to appreciate the natural world, young people must be exposed to it. Nature study trips should be planned once per month for exposure and excitement about interest and learning. The information can then be taken back to the classroom for discussion and further learning. This fosters the first necessary element, love of learning. Open discussions about the adventure will advance the natural ability and tendency of the human mind to be curious. This is a step toward an open classroom structured in a round table format, as our planet indicates. Natural artists, writers, analysts, teachers and budding scientists will emerge in this format style. An instructor qualified to teach in this way, must be open minded and curious herself in order to assist and instruct the students with their love of learning. The study of natural science brings out wonder and curiosity in all of us and is so vital to the growth and intellect as our natural world is the home we live in, but can be ignored or often romanticized through ignorant teachers. it is a world to be studied and savored with scientific inquiry. Young minds are perfectly equipped to study our natural world with correct guidance and natural curiosity. Respect and understanding are the usual outcome with this type of learning promoted.
The early instruction in natural inquiry fosters the mind and brings out the essence of the young and budding individual. Love of learning creates a life time learner ready to indulge in life's banquet of offerings and renders a student limitless in any pursuit that she has a passion to dive into. Individuals are just that. Unique and equipped with gifts and talents that benefit the world in various ways. Not all are meant to head for higher academic learning. Some are trades people, a few inventors who need greater outlet for their curiosity, artists, entrepreneurs, service workers, health care specialists and on and on. A child is born with a particular temperment and attributes and finding out early what they are and encouraging their love of doing a particular thing is a win[win situation for individuals and society as a whole. Practicing this way of education will surely lead to an advanced society rather than one that has stagnated over centuries.
At last, in a world that has advanced so dramatically with technological and scientific knowledge, this area must continued to be advanced also starting in the lower grades. Instructors must be more capable of transferring this knowledge and therefore it must be required of all in the teaching profession to be conversant and trained in biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics through calculus. Without this basic teacher training and education, the society is doomed to mediocrity or less in a world that will advance. Those societies that recognize this will seize the prize, but only to have it constantly threatened by an impoverished world. Deep, ongoing learning, fostered by an advanced educational system is the only key to creation of a better world. Critical thinking being present as a norm rather than an anomaly will elevate the human family to the level it needs to be if the world is to survive. Poverty and overpopulation are advancing and real eduction with a foundation in using the critical mind will eliminate the hypnotic march toward a destiny that will find mankind and her planet doomed to extinction. Real education is that important.

OBAMA: DEMONSTRATION OF LEADERSHIP?
Barack Obama has created the buzz, adulation and adoration of a rock star. He is smart, good looking, personable, dedicated to family and country and delivers a speech with charisma worthy of a King.. or a Kennedy. Thus far he has proved himself a leader: he convinced the majority of the American people, most especially the newer and younger voters he was the right man for the job. He did this with a minimum of the useless rants and raving so common, yes so COMMON, in political campaigns.
His inaugural speech hit all the bullet points and concerns on the minds of Americans and many world citizens and was delivered with brilliant passion and sincerity. Many had tears in their eyes including me. He is convincing us further of his ability and vision and that we are entering a new 'revolution" in our country. The most basic definition of a leader is "one who gets others to follow". In this sense, Jim Jones was a leader. President Obama is offering us so much, and in order to realize his true leadership, we have to drink his kool-aid, a much sweeter drink. Its seems to me his speech and intent brought to life again the wise words of JFK, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country." The president and his wife, Michelle took the time to demonstrate their leadership on this by volunteering and sending a strong message with a commercial advertising the opportunity to serve. If we are all in this "change" together, then we must support and do what is needed as much as we can to realize the "United' States of America once again. But this time, on a much more attentive and higher level. The whole works the way it should when all of the parts are working in unison the way they were meant to. Look to Nature for the finest example and how effortlessly it attains balance. There is no person breathing who cannot assist another, even with just a kind word.
President Obama demonstrates this again in his actions. He was quick to repair any damage done during the election, set his ego aside and chose his leadership partners wisely with the intention to heal the national wounds with the candidates he felt most qualified. He spent time at his inaugural balls and had a serious undertone beneath the charming smile, letting us know he understands his great responsibility.
I did not vote for Barack Obama. I wrote in Ron Paul for President and Dennis Kucinich for VP. Ron Paul made sense to me about the need for a third party, as the two we have are in gridlock and self serving most of the time. And Dennis Kucinich wants to create a department of Peace. Why not? In this day of change and revolution of thought should we not have a Peace Department to counter the extraordinary spending in the Department of Defense. A little country called Bhutan could advise our great one about this.
So we all can not only support our new and potentially very great leader, but follow him where he demonstrates true ability to benefit all. Is it right to sacrifice a bit so that others in greater distress can progress? Yes, we will all have to contribute for a better America. It is that simple and my great hope is that the Congress gets that message and realizes that they are the employees of the American people and we pay them to get the job done for "we" as a whole people, not as representatives of special interests and the dollar sign. This has been our demise. They too can demonstrate leadership by following a higher purpose and cooperating with our new President who is demonstrating great potential leadership.
****I am reading my post 6 years into the presidency of Barack Hussein Obama and my view has changed and turned 180 degrees; maybe a double 180 if that were possible. I was dewey eyed like the rest in 2009 and forgave myself for not voting for Obama, thinking I was wrong about my sense of him developed from the time he had that "hand in the cookie jar" look when Hillary (180 degrees away from her too) discovered his dirty tricks accusing her and her husband of racism. I didn' t take to him like so many others, felt he was jumping on board with little to offer. After his first foray into his community organizing approach with a "beer summit" to correct the Cambridge policeman's actions calling it "acting stupidly", I started to watch and wonder again. Does he not have other pressing issues to attend to rather than meddling on a local matter? So it began, the divisive approach to race, opposing opinions and parties, the focus on contrivance rather than the constitution, scandals aplenty, an uncompromising stance on every issue while never accepting blame and constantly blaming the opposition. Positioning himself as healer and preacher while taking every opportunity for political gain, I came to despise this poor excuse for what I had once described as leader.
First came the "beer summit", then Travon, Michael, IRS scandals all the while courting Reverand Al whose back unpaid taxes are in the millions as he visits the White House on so many numerous occasions. Benghazi, Bergdahl, NSA, lack of transparency, though he preached the exact opposite, corporate and media preening, a wife who like her husband goes abroad dissing America and telling graduating students to be aware that because of their race people will look at them "funny". A woman who was heard saying, "for the first time, I am proud to be an American" on inauguration
day; a woman who uses affirmative action and tax payer funds to attend Princeton and Harvard, who never actually practiced law, but worked for a number of years with a 300K salary as a hospital administrator in a Chicago hospital with no apparent experience, only to have the position not replaced when she left.
I began to see the mind set of these people and wonder how after so many years of failure and unpresidential behavior what we had allowed in the highest office in the world. Avoiding the press to interview with comedians, Glosell (bath tub Glosell), on WTF in a garage podcast using the N word. No excuses please! I am counting the days, even more so than with Bush. Obama's predecessor made serious mistakes, but he loved his country. The current leader disrespects the Constitution and then panders to the crowd knowing full well they eat his lies like candy. I am wondering what will be left of American Pride and the Truth, yes the truth that our Founders pondered and worked so miraculously to uncover and debate so as to set a foundation for future Americans. John Adams was so right and so wise when he stated that "Our Constitution was conceived for a moral and virtuous people. It is wholly unsuited to the governance of any other." Good bye to morality and reason. Another way of viewing the world has been contrived in America under the "leadership" of a confused and simple-minded narcissist. We will recover in some space and time when society honors these values once again, but the damage is done and minds are poisoned and programmed and that takes an undoing of massive proportion and the cooperation of the majority to get back to the gifts that were so generously and intelligently deeded to all who would call themselves Americans.*****
